Need a Hug? card

I just love this FREEBIE from Gerda Steiner Designs.  I just had to do a card with him!  
I started with a sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges:

Here is what I came up with....

Here's the details:

Image -   Otto the Octopus from Gerda Steiner Designs; I colored him with pencils and added diamond Stickles and pearls to the bubbles
Sentiment - printed on computer
Papers - all scraps from my scrap basket
Extras - scrap of pink ribbon, blue and cream pearls, pink deco hearts, EK success edge punch, and diamond Stickles

What's the Scoop Card

Managed to get in a little coloring this weekend...I have been wanting to color this one, Ice Cream Lilly from Simply B Stamps.

Cute Cat Christmas Card

Third week as guest designer for Gerda's Doodles...This week was one of Gerda's picks, a cute kitty sitting on a package.  For some reason I thought of Christmas when I saw this image so I went with it...I also used a sketch from Mojo Monday ( that I am planning on using for the September PCD challenge).

Here's the Details:

Image- Cute Cat from Gerda's Doodles; I colored with pencils.

Papers - all from my scrap basket

Extras - Tickets were clip art printed on computer, buttons, twine, edge punch, black pen for faux stitching

I am in love with this card...and the inside.

Bless this Nest Card

Just a quick share...I made this card the other day for a friend who recently moved to the area.

All of the cuts were from a swap...isn't that bird so cute? Unfortunately, I do not know where the cuts are from or who made them (Jeannette, maybe?)

Well, since the cuts were already done, this card came together quickly.  I just added some pretty papers, teal card stock and used my paper edge and scallop edge punches.

Puppy Package Card

Second week as a guest designer for GerdasDoodles...another adorable image.  This week I did one of Gerda's picks, Cute Puppy in Box.  He looked like he was in a birthday box, so...here is what I came up with...
I used a sketch from Paper Crafting Divas.  
I really like how this card came out.

Here's the details:

Image - Cute Puppy in Box; I colored the image with pencils then added Crystal Effects to the bow, nose, and eyes for dimension.  I also colored a second box top, fussy cut it out, and pop-dotted onto the image for extra dimension.
Sentiment - printed on computer
Papers - Bo Bunny "It's My Party" stripe/words....love two sided papers!  Black and white card stock.
Extras - small bow and heart punches, red rhinestones, and open scallop edge punch.

Spika the Evil Mermaid Card

This month for the Simply Betty Stamps Facebook Fan Page Challenge the theme was "Good vs. Evil" and we were given our choice of two mermaids.  I decided to go outside my box and do the evil one.  Once I saw the image I had a vision of what I wanted...now, getting it all to work was a little more challenging.  My end design is not exactly what was in my head, but I am very please with it.  So, here she is, Spika the Evil Mermaid...

Here's the Details:

Image - Spika the Evil Mermaid by Simply B Stamps, she is "mixed media"...I colored her body with pencils; her hair, eyes, and lips are colored with markers; and her tail is done with black marker covered with crystal effects (for the slick effect) and Stickles in black (had to have a little glitter).

Sentiment - came with the stamp, I added some Stickles in black.

Papers - black card stock for the base of the tent card, silver card stock - I added the grid marks with my score tool.

Extras - for the background I used a image I found online, inked mulberry paper for rocks, crystal rhinestones, green fibers, black sheer ribbon, Jolee's skull dimensional sticker, and a small skeleton hand (thanks, Elisabete - it was perfect!).

I really enjoyed going out of my box to create something not so glittery and sweet.  Thanks for looking!

Gerda's Doodles August Guest Designer

So, on a whim I  applied to be a guest designer for a new digi stamp site I found, Gerda's Doodles...and I got it!  I am a guest designer for the month of August.  If you have not seen here images, check them out....they are adorable!  So, without further ado, here is my first design...

Isn't this little mouse the cutest!  I loved the simplicity of this image and I decided to keep the card the same...simple.  

Here are the details:

Image - Mouse Phone Hallo by Gerda's Doodles; I colored the image with Prisma Color pencils and used a silver metallic pen on the can for detail
Papers:  all from my scrap bin...pink and aqua glitter, white embossed cardstock
Extras:  ribbon; I also used pop dots (dimensional tape) on the back of the image
