Pick 3 for the week of 2/25/13

Trying to get back on schedule...so here are my picks for the week....
1)  Paper Butterfly - what a cute an easy embellishment to make.  I think it would be a great way to use up pretty scraps, too.

2)  Stamp Book - I love this idea for indexing ALL your stamps.  This way you could have the images all in one spot.  This is definitely on my to do list.... just need an afternoon.

3)  Treat Package - cute and easy way to make fancy treats...another use for scraps!

Hope you have a wonderful week with some crafting time fit in!

Catching up...

and a quick card to share.

Yes, I have been gone for a little over two weeks.  I just needed some time to regroup and heal.

First a little update... I have started the physical therapy for my ankles, and while not "hard", it is challenging at times.  I know I have to do it, so I do, but....there are times.  My desire to regain my independence is too strong though to let me not do what I need to do.  I am still using crutches with no weight allowed on the left ankle, but I go back to surgeon in a week and am certain I will be allowed to start walking on it.  Then I will be able to start driving again.  While a little nervous about driving, I am anxious to move on.

Now a quick card...

I made this card for the Birthday Swap I am in on Paper Crafting Divas.  I created this soon after my accident and my crafting mojo was almost non existent, but I do like the way it came out.

Here's the details:
Papers:  scrap basket, embossed the white with the paisley Cuttlebug fodler.  The base is a pre-made green glitter card.
Embellishments:  the flower and leaves are from a K& Company flower punch out stack (that I have had FOREVER!).  I punched and layered three different sized flowers with foam adhesive squares to give dimension.  I then added a small, clear rhinestone swirl and green iridescent rhinestones.

Simple, but pretty :)
