Best Fishes

Just wanted to share my swap card...I decided to try out one of my pins.  This cute ribbon fish was just perfect for our "Under the Sea" theme.  Just a note...this little fish was a bit more difficult than I expected and glue dots (as suggested) didn't hold well...I used hot glue.

Here's the details:
Sentiment:  border from the "Stitched Together Flair" stamps set from Close to my Heart, stamped in ocean; sentiment is handwritten
Papers:  Heidi Grace from my stash
Extras:  orange twill ribbon, orange embroidery floss and wiggle eyes for fish and rhinestones.

Thanks for looking!

In the Garden

Wanted to share what I have been doing instead of crafting...getting my yard together.  This is our first summer in this house and I have had to figure out what is here, what I wanted to add and a little bit of decorating.    Everything is blooming and beautiful.  I so enjoy watching the birds in the morning gathering at the feeders and then bathing in the waterfall.  The dogs, especially Thor love the waterfall...he thinks it is his personal water fountain!  Now that the yard is all pretty I am going to get back to my list of projects and creating.

My June Picks

I hope everyone had a wonderful weeked and a chance to celebrate Fathers' Day.  In our house it is traditional for DH and DS to start the day with 18.  So, that is what they did :)     DS then grilled steaks while I made the rest for a yummy dinner followed by DH favorite...dutch apple pie.  DH said it was a "really nice day".  I also wanted to share the card that my DS made, on his own, for his dad.  he wouldn't like me letting it out that he knows how to use my Cricut, but....he does!  Didn't he do a GREAT JOB?

Now for my picks of the month....

 1)  Bo Bunny Anthem - LOVE this paper line.  I have mine on order and I can't wait to get it to start using it!!!  I always love Bo Bunny.
2)  Orgami Mushrooms - aren't these adorable?  I love them...now to find a project that I can use them on!
3)  StampARTic Blog - she has some really creative ways to make those punched flowers really special.  Check it out...
4) Simply B Stamps - I so enjoy coloring her digis.  She has a wide range, different styles of digi and rubber stamps.  Her blog has challenges and contests and her FB fan page does freebies for challenges monthly.  Check her out...
5)  Framelits - she has some great ideas on how to change up the look of your framelits(or spellbinders, MB dies, etc.)

Ok, one more day of finals for DS and then our summer can begin.  Hope your week is off to a wonderful start.  Thanks for looking!

Biggest Fan Card

So, life has been a little crazy...end of school year, end of spring baseball, final exams for Jarek....I will certainly be glad for next week when we can begin to settle into our summer routine.

I wanted to share the card I made for my dad for Fathers' Day....

Here are the details:

Image w/sentiment:  I just got this stamp set from Close to My Heart,.  It is so cute, it is called "Puns of Praise" and has 7 cute images with fun sentiments.  I colored my image with chalks to keep it soft.

Papers:  all from my scrap basket

Extras:  I cut "Dad" on my Cricut, Fathers' Day cartridge; pearl for the center of the fan; black ink on all edges.

Now to put it in the mail...Hope you are having a wonderfully creative week.  Thanks for stopping!

Here's the Details:
Image: Little Umbrella from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored her and then added crystal Effects to her sunglasses and drink glass.

Butterfly Wishes

Here is a quick card I made for the card map challenge on Paper Crafting Divas on FB.

Here's the details:
Papers:  from my scrap basket
Extras:  The scalloped medallion was from a swap, lime BoBunny dotted ribbon

How easy was that?  And I love the brights against the black.  I plan to add a sentiment in the bottom right corner...I can make it appropriate for who I am sending it to.

Butterfly Sympathy Card

Had to make one of those "cards I hate to make" today.  I don't' make typical sympathy cards...very rarely will they even have words on the outside.  I tend to use butterflies on my sympathy cards.  For me, butterflies are like visits from our passed loved ones.  Some people look for the "pennies from heaven" I look for a butterfly.

Here are the details:
Papers:  all from my scrap basket, I embossed the white and inked the edges of all with Tuxedo Momento Ink
Extras:  black twill ribbon, white butterfly trim, black and clear rhinestones, silver tone metal large butterfly charm.  I also used a Spellbinders to make the medallion behind the butterfly.

Thanks for looking!  I hope your June is off to a wonderfully crafty start!
