I am a SAHM mother of three...only one left home though. Paper crafting is my passion...I love creating things and saving memories. I also enjoy reading, baking, spending time with my friends and family, and walking my two furry children. My goal on my blog is to share something a little crafty, something yummy, and something fun every week. Thank you for visiting & comments are appreciated :)

Somewhere To Be...

I have been away from my blog for a bit due to some family things. On March 25th, my father Passed away after a brief battle with lung cancer.  Fortunately I was able to spend time with him during the few months prior to his passing.  We were blessed in that he was never in pain and passed peacefully in his sleep.

We had a beautiful service attended by family, friends, passed students, co-workers, fellow Elks, Red Knights....

Now I am dealing with all the things that come after....mainly helping my mother to settle all the paperwork, figure out a new place for her to live...the house is just too much for her, and dealing with my own grief.  I am looking forward to getting back to crafting as it is always healing for me.  However, I have decided to devote more time to my scrapbooks and other memory type projects.

Wishing you all a wonderful Spring!
Marie

I'm glad you were blessed with spending some quality time with your dad prior to his passing. Many people don't get an opportunity like that. I wish you comfort in your grief. Know that you were a great daughter to your dad and I'm sure he will be looking out for you from above. May God bless you and your family now and in the future...

Thank you both for your kind words. Cindy - yes, I was very lucky to be able to spend time with my father and I am grateful to my husband and son for making it possible. Kimberly - this is actually a digital layout, but could easily be used to do a traditional page.
