and a quick card to share.
Yes, I have been gone for a little over two weeks. I just needed some time to regroup and heal.
First a little update... I have started the physical therapy for my ankles, and while not "hard", it is challenging at times. I know I have to do it, so I do, but....there are times. My desire to regain my independence is too strong though to let me not do what I need to do. I am still using crutches with no weight allowed on the left ankle, but I go back to surgeon in a week and am certain I will be allowed to start walking on it. Then I will be able to start driving again. While a little nervous about driving, I am anxious to move on.
Now a quick card...
I made this card for the Birthday Swap I am in on
Paper Crafting Divas. I created this soon after my accident and my crafting mojo was almost non existent, but I do like the way it came out.
Here's the details:
Papers: scrap basket, embossed the white with the paisley Cuttlebug fodler. The base is a pre-made green glitter card.
Embellishments: the flower and leaves are from a K& Company flower punch out stack (that I have had FOREVER!). I punched and layered three different sized flowers with foam adhesive squares to give dimension. I then added a small, clear rhinestone swirl and green iridescent rhinestones.
Simple, but pretty :)
